The real name of Valeriano Abanador is Captain Valeriano Abanador, he was the great hero of the municipality of Balangiga Eastern Samar, he has a monument in the town plaza of Balangiga, the real leader of the Balangiga Massacre, what I read regarding the Balangiga Massacre is not clear and he was not identify as the real leader of the event, but if you visit the town during the celebration of the Balangiga Massacre, the event give a real tribute to him, in which the other story about event in the internet don't even give importance for the things he had done to protect his people in the town from the Americans.
