English: This small wasp found in July 2014 at Martlesham Recreation Ground, East Suffolk (TM252473) has been identified by Dr Hannes Baur as Pteromalus cf. albipennis. These wasps are parasitoids of fruit flies (Tephritidae) developing in flower heads of Asteraceae, for example the Banded Burdock flies (Terellia tussilaginis) of which there is a large colony on the nearby Burdock plants (Arctium).
